The Roman Road
(modified version)
"The Roman Road" is an easy and well-known scriptural tract that novice and veteran alike find to
be very effective in guiding an individual to a decision of salvation.
Who has sinned?
Romans 3:23
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."
Romans 3:10
"There is none righteous, no, not one."
What is the penalty for sin?
Romans 6:23
"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 1:18
"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness
of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness."
What is the payment for sin?
Romans 5:8-9
"But God commends His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died
for us. Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we will be saved from God's wrath
through Him."
How may I be saved?
Romans 10:9-10
"That if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that
God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto
righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

"For, Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved."
What happens when I ask Christ to save me?

will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with me."
Sinner's Prayer
Lord Jesus,
I believe you are God's Son, who died on the cross for my sin. I believe that you were buried and
rose from the dead after three days. I ask you to forgive me of my sin and I receive your offer of
the free gift of eternal life. Fill me with your Holy Spirit and teach me to follow you. Thank you
for loving me. Thank you for saving me. Help me to live in a way that is full of meaning and
purpose. Use my life to bring glory and honor to your name. Amen.
